Salem Creative Arts Expo

All ages are “encouraged to create a masterpiece” using paint, watercolor, decoupage, hot glue, ink, oil, or any other artistic medium.

Located inside the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce office at 210 East State Street, the Chamber Gallery of Art promotes local artists and their work through monthly showcases. A natural extension of that mission –the Gallery is asking the public to be part of the Expo from April 27-May 23 –by picking up a free 5×7 canvas from the Salem Chamber during business hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

“The Creative Arts Expo is for all ages and can include paintings, drawings, models, craft, graphic design, and sculptures. The list of creative arts is endless,” said Gallery of Art Committee Chairman Jennifer Adams.

Participants must return the 5×7 canvas to the Chamber Gallery of Art by April 12. All returned canvases will be displayed at the Creative Arts Expo on April 27, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 210 East State St. The pubic event will feature the refreshments, art activities for kids, and a walk through town to see Plein Air Artists at work.”
